Here we go again or should I say "they"...Filibuster Deal on Bush Nominees to Be Put to Test
The fight for Sandra Day O'Connor's swing seat on the Supreme Court will likely be an ugly one in which consensus and comity are all but impossible.
Friday, Democrats and Republicans dusted off their weapons of choice -- the filibuster and the "nuclear option" -- in case they feel a need to block or clear the way for the nominee to succeed her. O'Connor, 75, on Friday announced her plans to retire.
